Ach Gott jetzt ist schon fast wieder Weihnachten und ich hab so lange nichts gepostet aber es war auch einfach viel los in letzter Zeit. Also nehm ich einfach meine letzte Journal Seite.  Oh God it's almost Christmas and I didn't blog in so long but there was so much happening recently, I don't even have a Christmas themed artwork to post so I just take my recent journal page. It's called jungle and I kind of like it... So Merry Christmas to you all.

This is a spread from TheTanteTi for the prompt 'comfort zone' she came up with a page that could truly be in any fairytale book. I love her interpretation of the theme and the colours she used for the different sides. Just needed to share this awesome work with you.

This is my little Mermaid, I struggled a bit with this one because I started out not-whimsical but it somehow resisted.. Only after I abandoned the idea of depicting a realistic girl figure, this young lady suddenly appeared and from then on it was all too easy. I used glitter for her tail and hair but sadly you can't see that in a photo. But believe me she shines!!!:))

This page was made for the 10 Minutes Challenge from Journal52. So I just cut up some of my coloured papers and stuck them to a new page, The boy and girl randomly appeared and the quote I picked out of my letter jar.

I did produce quite some pages and so did TheTanteTi but as it is always a problem to get the pictures uploaded to blogspot! I seem to have totally neglected our blog recently? THIS WILL CHANGE!!! So endlich komm ich dazu den zweiten Teil unserer Backgrounds Challenge zu posten. Der Hintergrund den TheTanteTi in Deutschland gemacht hat fand den weiten Weg nach Australien und ich war so in Osterstimmung, dass mir nur Häschen einfielen. Ostern ist zwar schon vorbei aber das Häschen hat sein Ei offensichtlich immer noch nicht hergegeben. Naja. Viel Spaß beim Zuschauen. Vielleicht inspiriert es euch ja auch so etwas zu probieren! vielleicht sogar mit uns? So finally I am posting part two of our Background Challenge. The Background that TheTanteTi made in Germany made it's way via snail mail to Australia and I fully was in Easter mood, so I couldn't think of anything but cute bunnies. So Easter is over but obviously the bunny didn't let go of it's egg yet. Well, anyways, enjoy watching, have fun and maybe get inspired to try a collab as well. So nun endlich sind die Videos fuer unsere Background Challenge fertig. Hier ist der erste Part wo ich einen Hintergrund mache und ihn dann zu TheTanteTi nach Deutschland schicke, im zweiten Video seht ihr was sie daraus zaubert, einfach toll wie sie das macht. Ich bin begeistert und finde meinen Versuch mit Ihrem Hintergrund nun schon wieder doof im Vergleich! So finally we have finished the videos of our Background Challenge. My new project : A journal where I can just scribble, try out, smash and destroy and be ugly. No need for cute little creatures and matching colours. No need for expensive paper. I took a plain black journal and let loose. Producing a lot of mud by adding layers without drying time and not separating between colour schemes. I couldn't care less! And thats the fun thing about it, no worries, no pressure!! Actually it is not meant for showing around because that would sort of undermine the purpose but just to give you an idea and an inspiration. Here it is: My Ugly Book!

Just to show you that not everything is yippie yeah here in paradise, I am uploading this page because I have my fair share of bad days and negative thoughts and feelings. Art Journaling helps me to process these emotions. This spread evolved from an old sketch that was in my journal for quite some time and that I hated because it was so poorly done and oozed with darkness. I finally decided to rework the page and let out all my frustration on to the paper. I added the quote and thought I should enter it into  Art Journal Journey  new challenge which is called poems and quotes, I think. The quote reads: "Holding on to negative feelings and past circumstances is like placing a lock on your soul" Charles Glassman.

Wir sind immer noch bei Journal52 aktiv und hier zeige ich wie unterschiedlich die Ansätze sein können. TheTanteTi und ich haben jeweils eine Journal Seite mit unserer Interpretation von Spring Cleaning gemacht. (Prompt Woche 13) Was klar wird, wir sind beide keine großen Fans von Frühjahrsputz, während ich behaupte Kreatives Chaos zu bevorzugen,  geht TheTanteTi back into the future und gibt uns das 50s Feeling mit Polka Dots und High Heels aber einer ebenso spürbaren Begeisterung fürs Putzen. ;)

Das Thema bei Journal 52 war diese Woche Inspiration Board. Zugleich zeige ich die Arbeit bei der Mixed Media Monthly Challenge, deren Thema Birds of a Feather war. Zwei Fliegen mit einer Klappe. or two Birds with One Stone. I did this page for my weekly Journal52  challenge (Inspiration Board) but will also add it to the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge  the theme was Birds of a Feather. I think this works well for both challenges because inspiration is like a bird it is here but if you don't grasp it, it might fly away soon and like the colourful feathers of a tropical bird the biggest inspiration is in nature itself and in every detail of creation.. This started out as a really crappy collage and I was so unhappy with it but I didn't give up, in the end I pretty much covered up the whole background and ripped off a few of the pictures that I just didn't like or that were in the wrong place. We are thrilled to be part of Heather's and  Mystele's first Blog Hop  at Community Thrive  . It's a great way to make new friends and meet fellow artists. I looked through an old laptop of mine today and found this sketch of a children's picture book illustration I did way back. In the end there were no colour images due to printing costs but only black and white line drawings illustrating the story. But this is what it could have looked like ;) Als ich heute durch einen meiner alten Laptops geguckt habe, kam mir diese Skizze unter. Ich hatte sie damals für eine Kinderbuch Illustration gemacht. Im Endeffekt wurde dann aus Kostengründen nur schwarz-weiße Stichzeichnungen verwendet, naja. Aber so hätte das Buch aussehen können.

Wir sind Zur Zeit mit organisatorischen und technischen Problemen beschäftigt so dass ich neben meiner Radio Show und Musik machen kaum dazu komme zu produzieren. Was mich noch bei der Stange hält sind die wöchentlichen Journal promts. Dies war mein Beitrag zur Woche 8 Aromatherapy und davor, ich glaube Woche 6? - Television At the moment we are struggling with technical and logistic problems so there is near to no time to actually produce artworks, besides I am also occupied producing my weekly radio show and making music. So the only thing that keeps my going at the moment are the weekly prompts of journal 52. here are two of my entries to the prompts - Aromatherapy and Television. AS i always say. There is always time for good cup of tea !!
